For employers

Training built around how you actually work

CIISD designs workshops and programmes to your roles, standards and equipment — and gives your whole workforce year-round access to the e-learning platform.

Training your managers can stand behind
Designed with you, not off the shelf

We start from your role profiles and standard operating procedures, so the content matches the job people go back to.

Delivered where it suits

On your site, at a CIISD venue, live online or blended — whatever keeps the most people in the room.

Assessed and certificated

Where a programme carries assessment, learners are assessed against the standard and certificated by CIISD.

Two ways in

Build a programme, or open the library to your team

Most organisations use both: a bespoke programme for the roles that need it, and platform access so everyone else can keep learning between projects.

Bespoke

Custom workshops and programmes

We scope the gap with your managers, design the material around your own procedures, and deliver it to your teams — as a single workshop or a programme running across the year.

Annual subscription

E-learning platform for your employees

One annual fee opens the platform to your staff for twelve months. They study at their own pace; you see who is using it and how far they have got.

Subject areas

Subject areas we build in

Bespoke programmes are written in the same six fields the CIISD catalogue covers, so the material can draw on courses that already exist rather than starting from a blank page.

Business & Finance

Financial management, reporting and controls, procurement, and the commercial skills managers need to run a budget.

AI & Data Analytics

Working with data day to day — spreadsheets, dashboards and reporting tools — and using AI tools sensibly inside your own processes.

Health & Safety

Programmes written against your site, your equipment and your emergency procedures, with assessment where the standard calls for it.

Trades

Practical, task-based training for technical roles, built around the tools and methods your teams already use on the job.

Science

Applied and laboratory subjects, from method and measurement through to recording and reporting results.

Travel & Tourism

Guest-facing service, operations and destination knowledge for teams working across the travel and hospitality trade.

Something outside these six? Send the brief anyway — tell us what your teams need and we will say honestly whether we are the right people to build it.

How it works

From first conversation to certificates

A bespoke programme runs through five stages. Each one ends with something you sign off before we move on.

  1. 01

    Scoping

We meet the sponsor and the line managers, look at the roles involved, and agree what the training has to change.

    You sign off the brief
  2. 02

    Design

We write the outline, the materials and the assessment against your procedures, and send it back for review.

    You sign off the outline
  3. 03

    Scheduling

Cohorts, dates and venue are set around your shift patterns so operations keep running while people train.

    You sign off the dates
  4. 04

    Delivery

Facilitators run the sessions, and learners build the evidence their assessment asks for as they go.

    Attendance shared per cohort
  5. 05

    Review

Certificates are issued, and the sponsor gets a report on completion, attendance and what the cohort raised.

Questions

Questions employers ask

It depends on how much design the programme needs. A single workshop adapted from existing material moves quickly; a full programme written against your procedures takes longer, because the design goes back to you for review before anything is scheduled. We give you a timeline at the end of scoping.

Bespoke delivery is priced per cohort rather than per head, so very small groups cost the same as a full room. If you have only a handful of people, platform access is usually the better value — talk to us and we will say so.

Yes — that is the point of a bespoke programme. Share your role profiles, standard operating procedures and any internal material, and the content is written around them. Your documents stay yours; we use them to design and assess, not to republish.

That is how most organisations use us. A bespoke programme covers the roles where the training has to match your procedures, and a subscription opens the library to everyone else. Tell us the split when you send the brief and both are quoted together.

Seats are named but reassignable. Your administrator releases the seat and issues it to someone else from the console. The leaver keeps any certificates already earned.

Courses that carry assessment issue a certificate on completion, and your administrator can export the records for your own training file. Sessions that are purely introductory are recorded as completions rather than certificated.

Yes. Give us your PO number and billing contact when the proposal is accepted and we will invoice accordingly. Subscriptions are invoiced annually in advance.
